One of the players for whom Chelsea insisted until the wee hours of the market to transfer him to Stamford Bridge, was Everton’s Anthony Gordon. However, the club from Liverpool resisted the offer of 45 million pounds from the “Blues of London”, while demanding at least 60 million pounds. Regarding this high amount that prevented his transfer to Chelsea, Gordon himself has also spoken. The latter admits that in today’s football, market figures do not reflect reality.

“Personally, I don’t think any player is worth £60m. However, this is football and today’s market, so I don’t want to lower my values. When you transfer a footballer, you are not only buying his current value, but also his future potential. It is a risk that the clubs are already taking on.

However, I didn’t mind the transfer as it wasn’t something I could control. I have to stay humble and think about the present and not look too far into the future. But, at the moment when it does well, the voices of the market will always be present. I feel good at Everton and I don’t regret at all that I continue to play in this team”, said the 21-year-old.
