Former Manchester United striker Edinson Cavani is close to a move to Argentine club Boca Juniors.
The legendary club from Buenos Aires and the experienced footballer reached an agreement and the transfer is expected to be official by Saturday at the latest.
The 35-year-old Uruguayan made just 19 appearances for the Red Devils in all competitions last season and scored two goals with an assist.
Therefore, after 15 years spent in Europe, Cavani will return to South America, where he played only for his native Danubio from Montevedio.
The proven striker was linked with Spanish clubs – Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atlético and Valencia during the summer, but the choice fell on Boca Juniors.
