As Shakira tries to find a deal with Pique and Nadal prepares for the US Open, the Spanish celebrity paparazzo has unearthed a “bombshell” that is rapidly making its way around the world.
Spanish paparazzi Jordi Martin dropped the “bomb” in “America Noticias Nun”: Shakira and Rafa Nadal had a secret love affair. It happened in 2009, when the Colombian pop star chose the famous tennis player as the protagonist of the video clip of the song Gipsy.
In the video, the two show chemistry, share glances and smiles, in the end – although at the request of the scriptwriter of the video – they even exchange kisses. Fake, of course. But the paparazzo claims that it wasn’t just fake fake chemistry in the video.
“Shakira and NAdal had an intense love affair,” he assures. At the time, the singer did not yet know Pique, while Nadal was already engaged to his current wife, Mary Perello, whom he met in 2005 and married in 2019.
“At the time, everyone was talking about a relationship between Shakira and Alejandro Sanz (a popular Spanish musician and singer), but in reality the two were always just friends, and she was dating Nadal,” explains the paparazzo.
At the moment, the two have not denied this rumor. Struggling with a difficult split from Pique, Shakira is also struggling with tax evasion for which she is facing jail time, while Nadal is on the starting line at the US Open and waiting to become a father for the first time.
