The Conference League triumph and the signing of Paulo Dybala has raised the awareness that Roma can aim for the title this season, so sporting director Pinto and coach Jose Mourinho are pushing for two more sensational reinforcements.
The first is the Dutch midfielder Georgino Wijnaldum, who remained isolated at PSG and the yellow-reds have been working for days to take him on loan with the right to buy.
The parties want to close the transfer within this week, as Wijnaldum would not only complete the department, but would add quality, experience and champion mentality to the midfield, given that he has won quite a bit in his career.
Meanwhile, the yellow-reds have recently intensified their contacts with Andrea Belotti, the Italian striker who is without a team, after refusing to renew his contract with Torino.
Belotti has been contacted personally by Mourinho, who intends to convince him to transfer to Rome and is evaluating the offer as a priority, as the long-awaited signature may arrive in the next 48 hours.
With the Italian striker, Mourinho could try a return to his preferred 4-2-3-1 formation, where Belotti would be positioned at the top of the attack, supported by Dybala, Abraham and Zaniolo.
