Argentine football player Angel Di María is uncertain for the round of 16 of the World Cup against Australia due to an injury, coach Lionel Scaloni announced.
“For Angel, we hope that he will be fine. I can’t say that today. We have to wait until tomorrow before we decide,” Scaloni said at a press conference.
The players of Argentina will play against Australia in the round of 16 of the World Cup in Qatar on Saturday at the Ahmed bin Ali stadium.
Juventus’ attacking midfielder left the final group stage match against Poland (2-0) with an injury in the 59th minute, with Scaloni adding that it was not a “strain”.
“He came out with an injury, but the stretch is something else. Yesterday was a day off for most of the players, with an analysis of Australia. “Today we will train and we will have a clearer picture of the recovery of Angel and several other players,” said Scaloni.
