According to various media across the Old Continent earlier this summer, the Portuguese was rejected by clubs such as Bayern (Munich), Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid and Atlético Madrid.

To them can be added the two Milanese giants – Milan and Inter, who will play in the Champions League as the first and second from last season in Series “A”, writes “Corriere dello Sport”.

The publication claims that he was offered to these teams by Ronaldo’s agent, Jorge Mendes, who, however, showed no interest in paying the forward’s requested net salary of 24 million euros per year.

Even if they wanted to, they wouldn’t be able to take advantage of the infamous local “growth decree” that cuts taxes on foreign players’ wages.

Cristiano left Juventus last summer, making him ineligible for one of the main terms of the disputed decree, which would have cost his buyer €45 million in gross annual wages to return to Italy.
