“We don’t want it”/ The runners-up of France don’t ask about the fans, they formalize the approach from Rome!

Marseille fans strongly protested against the purchase of Jordan Veretout, but the French club did not back down and today has formalized the approach of the midfielder from Rome on loan with the right to purchase for 10 million euros.

The 29-year-old has signed for four years with the runners-up of France, a contract from which he will benefit from 3 million euros per season. Veretout was no longer part of Jose Mourinho’s plans.

But why did Marseille fans oppose this approach? They have not forgotten some of the player’s behavior when he was playing in Ligue 1, the championship where he wore the jerseys of St Etienne and Nantes.

According to them, he is not worthy to play with Marseille, but now it is up to Veretout to change their minds and make them his own with positive performances on the field.

The midfielder won the Conference League with Roma last season after the success in Tirana, as he counts five matches with the French national team. The debut happened last September
