Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are among the clubs closely monitoring Besiktas captain Orkun Kokcu ahead of the summer transfer window, according to Turkish outlet Fanatik.
The 25-year-old midfielder has returned to form after a slow start to the season, earning high praise in Besiktas’ recent match against Kasımpaşa. Scouts from both Premier League clubs were reportedly present at the stadium.
The combination of pressure resistance, progressive passing and leadership qualities makes Kokcu an attractive target for United’s midfield rebuild and Tottenham’s potential refresh – especially if Joao Palhinha’s loan move from Bayern Munich is not made permanent.
Inter are also pushing hard for his transfer, seeing him as a long-term successor in midfield.
Besiktas has set a high price: they will not sell him for less than 50 million euros.
Kokcu is currently valued at around €25m by Transfermarkt (peaking at €35m in 2023), but the Turkish club consider him a central part of the project and will only negotiate if a major European club meets their demands.
