Real Madrid are continuing their search for a new midfielder, with Argentine Enzo Fernandez and Portuguese Vitinha currently leading the club’s list of options.
Strengthening the midfield is one of Real Madrid’s main objectives ahead of the summer transfer window.
“Los Blancos” aim to strengthen a squad that, despite recent results, has not yet managed to offer the level desired by the technical staff.
During this period, many players have been mentioned in connection with the Madrid club, but according to renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano, the club has not yet made a final decision on the profile it wants to bring in.
He emphasized that internal discussions are taking place within the club about midfielders and that it is normal that there is still no final choice.

According to him, Real Madrid will be active in the transfer market, but the final decision must be awaited before concrete steps are taken for any specific player.
Romano also added that between the two main targets, Vitinha and Enzo Fernandez, there is a clear difference.
He mentioned that for Vitinha, the player has previously stated that he does not intend to leave Paris Saint-Germain and has no interest in a move to Real Madrid.
Meanwhile, for Enzo Fernandez, the situation is different, as there is no current contact with the Madrid club, leaving more room for possible developments in the future.
Sources from British media outletĀ talkSPORT also report that the Argentine midfielder may be open to leaving the London club where he plays, as he is not completely satisfied after the changes on the bench, including the departure of Enzo Maresca.
According to these reports, Real Madrid is considered a suitable destination for the continuation of his career, however the Spanish club has not yet taken concrete steps to transfer him.
