Brazilian midfielder Casemiro is one of the big names who will be free to sign for another club without a transfer fee in June.
The former Real Madrid midfielder, now at Manchester United, has a contract that expires in June.
According to Globo Esporte in Brazil, Inter are one of many clubs closely following him.
Among the world football stars who will become free agents after June 30 of this year is Brazilian Casemiro, who will end his contract with Manchester United.
Born in 1992 and turning 34 on February 23, Casemiro is reported to have recently discussed Serie A and Italian football with Luka Modric, the focal point of Milan’s midfield and his former teammate at Real Madrid, where together with Toni Kroos they formed one of the strongest midfield trios in the club’s history.
However, according to reports from Brazil, Milan’s other main club, Inter, is currently the team most interested in the player.
In Serie A, there is no doubt that a player with Casemiro’s experience and qualities would be a valuable asset to many clubs, and Inter is undoubtedly one of them; their president, Beppe Marotta, is considered the undisputed master of free transfers.
As for his salary, at the age of 34, coming from a net salary of 18 million euros per season at Manchester United, if Casemiro wanted to try Serie A, he would naturally have to accept much less.
Considering the player’s age, experience and value, for any club wanting to sign him, a realistic option could be a two-year contract worth around 5-6 million euros per season.
