In 2018, like many players of his generation, PSG winger Ousmane Dembele was playing his first World Cup with the French national team.
Since then, he has transformed into a completely different player, gaining global recognition after winning the Ballon d’Or in 2025.
This Saturday, in the United States, on the eve of France’s second friendly match against Colombia, as part of preparations for the 2026 World Cup, the PSG striker spoke about his journey in an interview with “Fox Deportes”.
“What has changed compared to 2018? I have been at a better level since last season.”
“A lot of things have changed in my football and in my life, now I’m much calmer and I hope to maintain this level.”
As for the strength of the French national team, which seems untouchable by pressure, Dembele also revealed the “recipe” for success.
“We focus mainly on ourselves, we all know each other since childhood and we have to perform as a group to win trophies,” declared the PSG striker.
