A large majority of fans in the Premier League are unhappy with VAR, with around 75% saying they are against it.
Despite this, the league insists that VAR improves decision-making, correcting around 100 key mistakes per season involving goals, penalties, and red cards.
Accuracy levels are reported to be very high—around 96–97%—and delays have also been reduced in recent seasons.
However, fans continue to complain that the technology is ruining the enjoyment of football, arguing that their concerns are often ignored.
Even with the backlash, removing VAR looks unlikely, as most clubs previously voted to keep it in use.
