Cole Palmer Wants To Leave Chelsea – Three Clubs in His Mind

Sport

Cole Palmer is not having a good time at Chelsea, with recent reports suggesting he is becoming increasingly frustrated with his situation at the club.

According to journalist Samuel Luckhurst, the attacking midfielder is unhappy with recent developments and the possibility that he is open to a departure during the summer transfer window cannot be ruled out.

Interest in the 23-year-old is high, with some of Europe’s most powerful clubs closely monitoring his situation, including Manchester United, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich.

Palmer is considered one of the greatest talents of his generation and his market value is reported to be around £150 million.

Samuel Luckhurst’s sources close to the player suggest that one of the main reasons for the dissatisfaction is related to changes in Chelsea’s tactical approach, which he feels have limited his influence and spaces on the pitch.

The absence of striker Nicolas Jackson, whose speed and movement complemented Palmer’s game, has also negatively affected the Englishman’s performance. Furthermore, his season has been affected by several physical problems, including groin and toe injuries.

Meanwhile, Chelsea, currently managed by Liam Rosenior, are sixth in the Premier League and battling for a Champions League place. A failure to secure qualification for that competition could make it even more difficult to keep hold of key players, including Palmer.

However, despite the numerous speculations, Chelsea continue to consider Palmer as an integral part of the long-term project, while his contract is valid until 2033.

This puts the club in a strong negotiating position and makes any potential transfer very difficult to pull off.
