Roma’s Manu Kone reportedly remains a top target for Inter for next season, and the Nerazzurri could offer Davide Frattesi in a player-plus-cash swap deal.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport , Inter will make a new attempt to sign Roma midfielder Kone next summer.
The Serie A leaders tempted the Giallorossi and the Frenchman with a formal offer last summer, but Roma’s owners blocked the midfielder’s departure.
According to the Italian outlet, the Nerazzurri are determined to add physical strength to their midfield in the 2026-27 season, so Kone remains very high on their summer agenda.
The Italian newspaper claims that Inter would be ready to invest up to €50m to sign the Frenchman, but one way to potentially reduce costs would be to include Italy international Frattesi in the deal.
Roma will face strong interest in Kone next summer, and the Giallorossi could be forced to sell one of their stars for financial reasons if they fail to qualify for the Champions League.
Frattesi has struggled to find playing time under Cristian Chivu this season, and he already played in Roma’s youth system from 2014 to 2017.
The Italian midfielder has provided just three assists in 29 appearances in all competitions for Inter this season, without scoring.
