Paris Saint-Germain have begun efforts to renew coach Luis Enrique’s contract, which currently expires next year.

Impressed by the Spanish coach’s work and the team’s transformation into a serious contender in Europe, the French club’s leaders intend to offer him a new long-term contract until June 2030.

Despite reported interest from Manchester United, Enrique seems determined to continue his project in the French capital and build on his success with PSG.

According to L’Équipe, the Ligue 1 club is ready to offer a salary of around 20 million euros per year to the Spanish coach.

This figure would place him among the highest-paid coaches in the world and potentially the highest-paid within the club, surpassing even some of the team’s stars.

Meanwhile, Enrique and his team are focused on their season’s goals as they aim to defend their Champions League title. PSG are set to face Liverpool FC in the quarter-finals, in a highly anticipated clash next week.
