French striker Antoine Griezmann is expected to close his chapter at Atletico Madrid, leaving the club after many successful seasons in La Liga.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, the deal is already done – for Griezmann to move to Orlando City. The transfer is expected to take place in the summer of 2026, immediately after the end of his contract with “Los Colchoneros”.
Meanwhile, it is reported that the Frenchman will travel to the United States during the international break, a move related to the finalization of this transfer and acclimatization with the new club.
Griezmann joined Atletico Madrid on 29 July 2014, where he quickly became the main figure in the attack and one of the most important players in the club’s modern history.
In 2019 he made the move to Barcelona, but after two seasons he returned to Madrid, where he continued to be one of the team’s leaders.
Now, after a long spell in European football, he looks ready for a new adventure in MLS with Orlando City.
