Tottenham Hotspur have confirmed the appointment of Roberto De Zerbi as the team’s new coach, at a very delicate moment for the London club which is fighting to avoid relegation from the Premier League.

De Zerbi was free after leaving Olympique Marseille in February, while Spurs reacted quickly after parting ways with interim manager Igor Tudor, who lasted just 44 days in charge.

The North London side are currently just one point above the relegation zone, with seven games remaining until the end of the season and without a single league win in 2026.

“I am very happy to join this fantastic club, one of the biggest and most prestigious in the world. The club’s ambition is clear – to build a team that aims for great success and play attractive football for the fans.”

“Our priority is to climb the table. We will be fully focused until the last game of the season. I am ready to work with the players to achieve this,” declared De Zerbi.

De Zerbi has signed a long-term five-year contract and is expected to immediately start working to stabilize Tottenham’s situation in the championship.
