Florentino Pérez has reportedly intensified tensions inside Real Madrid after publicly calling Kylian Mbappé “the best player in the team right now.”
Pérez praised Mbappé for winning the Golden Boot and highlighted his importance to the squad, despite recent criticism surrounding the French star.
The comments come at a sensitive moment, with ongoing reports of dressing-room tension and growing friction involving Vinícius Júnior and Mbappé.
According to reports, Pérez has also been disappointed with some of Mbappé’s recent behavior behind the scenes, but still chose to publicly back him.
Many believe those comments will not be well received inside Vinícius’ camp, adding even more pressure to an already tense situation.
