PSG have made a concrete move for the transfer of Argentine striker Julian Alvarez, presenting Atletico Madrid with a staggering offer of 120 million euros plus two players, just days before the Champions League final against Arsenal in Budapest.
According to journalist Inaki Villalon De Linos, the French champion is trying to close the deal as soon as possible, while club leaders consider Alvarez as the main target for the offensive department next season.
In addition to the financial offer, PSG has also included Kang-in Lee and Gonçalo Ramos in the package, two players who are very liked by Atletico Madrid’s sporting director, Mateu Alemany.
Sources close to the negotiations reveal that PSG has offered the Argentine striker a net salary of 22 million euros per season, the same as what Ousmane Dembele currently earns at the French champions.
The offer is considered extremely tempting and clearly shows PSG’s ambition to build the team around young elite names.
Barcelona ready to sell big star to sign Julian Alvarez
Barcelona also continues to monitor Alvarez’s situation and sees him as an ideal reinforcement for the new sports project.
However, the Catalan giant finds it almost impossible to compete with PSG’s financial power, especially after ongoing problems with economic restrictions and financial fair play rules.
Julian Alvarez has been one of the most prominent players of the season and interest in him continues to grow.
It now remains to be seen whether Atletico Madrid will accept PSG’s record offer or will attempt to keep the Argentine as a key part of Diego Simeone’s project.
