Barcelona continues to monitor the situation of Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, but a potential transfer seems extremely difficult due to Galatasaray’s high financial demands.
According to journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu, the Turkish champion is only willing to consider offers starting at 140 million euros for its star.
This assessment comes after an exceptional 2025/26 season, where Osimhen was named the best player in the Turkish Super League and helped Galatasaray defend the championship title.
The 27-year-old striker had an impressive season, recording 22 goals and eight assists in 32 appearances in all competitions.
In the championship, he scored 15 goals and five assists in 22 matches, while he also excelled in the Champions League with seven goals and three assists in 10 appearances.
One of the most special moments of the season was his hat-trick against Ajax in the Champions League, a performance that once again confirmed his status as one of the most dangerous strikers in European football.
Osimhen’s excellent form continued with the Nigerian national team, where he contributed four goals and two assists in six matches.
During the season, Osimhen played 2,550 minutes with Galatasaray, recording 115 shots on goal, of which 66 ended in the box.
Barcelona are expected to look for reinforcements in the offensive department during the summer transfer window, but Galatasaray’s request of 140 million euros could be a major obstacle to the realization of this transfer.
