“TRIONDA” – The Official Ball of The 2026 World Cup

News

FIFA has officially unveiled the ball that will be used in the 2026 World Cup, which will be held in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

The new ball is called “TRIONDA”, a name that symbolizes the union of the three hosting countries and the idea of ”three waves” connecting in a global tournament.

According to FIFA and Adidas, the ball’s manufacturer, the design of the TRIONDA is inspired by the identities of the three host countries. It features the colors red, blue and green, as well as symbolic elements such as the maple leaf for Canada, the eagle for Mexico and the star for the United States of America.

The new ball is not only an aesthetic change, but also a major technological leap. The TRIONDA is equipped with an internal chip with a 500Hz sensor, which transmits real-time data to the VAR system.

This technology is expected to help referees make more accurate decisions, especially in situations such as offside and touch.

Technically, the ball is constructed with just four heat-bonded panels, a design that aims to improve stability in flight and accuracy during play.

FIFA emphasizes that TRIONDA represents one of the most advanced balls ever created for a World Cup, combining modern technology with the symbolism of the world’s greatest football tournament.
