Angelina Jolie ‘Ready for a Life Beyond Los Angeles’ as She Takes Major Step Toward Leaving the U.S.

Angelina Jolie is preparing for a long-anticipated fresh start—one that will no longer revolve around life in the United States or her difficult divorce from Brad Pitt.

Just months after reports first surfaced that the Oscar-winning actress, 50, was planning to sell her family home, a source has confirmed to People that the property is now being actively shown to select potential buyers following recent renovations.

“She’s ready for a life that isn’t centered around Los Angeles anymore,” the source said. “She’s really looking forward to 2026 and the flexibility she’ll have then.”

Jolie shares six children with Pitt: Maddox (24), Pax (22), Zahara (20), Shiloh (19), and twins Knox and Vivienne (17). The former couple finalized their divorce settlement in December 2024, bringing an end to an eight-year legal battle.

Sources say Jolie’s ability to relocate has long been tied to custody arrangements. After separating from Pitt, she purchased a historic residence in Los Feliz, once owned by legendary Hollywood director Cecil B. DeMille.

She later explained that the decision was made to keep the children close to their father.

“I wanted it to be near their dad, who is only five minutes away,” Jolie told Harper’s Bazaar in 2019. “Once they turn 18, I’ll be able to leave.”

Jolie has previously stated to People that she “never wanted to live in Los Angeles full-time,” but remained there for the sake of her younger children.

Now, with twins Knox and Vivienne set to turn 18 on July 12, 2026, sources say Jolie plans to relocate shortly after that date.

She is reportedly considering splitting her time between Cambodia, France, and several countries in Africa.

Cambodia—where Jolie adopted her eldest son Maddox in 2002—is expected to become her primary base, marking a significant shift toward a more international life beyond Hollywood.
