Barcelona president Joan Laporta has criticized FIFA after the injury suffered by winger Raphinha during Brazil’s 1-2 friendly win over France.
The Brazilian star, one of Barcelona’s key players this season, was recently injured and is expected to be out for five weeks.
This injury and his absence in the main phase of the season has caused Barcelona president Laporta to react harshly to FIFA.
“Raphinha’s injury is unfortunate. FIFA should make its calendar taking into account that these players play for big clubs,” Laporta initially told Mon Esport .
“It’s a friendly match and one of the team’s best players suffers an injury. Of course it’s annoying.”
“You can’t blame the players. They are professionals and give everything for their country.
“The problem is the busy schedule, at the time of the season where we are playing for everything. It’s frustrating!”, concluded the Barcelona president.
