Manchester City are reportedly considering an unprecedented swap deal with Newcastle United as they aim to bring two highly-rated players to the Etihad.
Although they still have two trophies to play for this season, the club appear to be planning for the summer transfer window.
According to reports from TEAMtalk , Nottingham Forest midfielder Elliot Anderson and Newcastle’s Sandro Tonali are at the top of City’s wish list, with a combined cost of around €190m.
However, the 10-time English champions are unlikely to pay such a large sum for both players.
According to GOAL , City are considering a swap deal involving a total of six players, while the Manchester club are also interested in full-back Tino Livramento.
To complete these deals, reports suggest that City could offer four players, goalkeeper James Trafford, full-backs Rico Lewis and Issa Kabore and centre-back Jumah Bah, to the north-east club.
Tonali has also been linked with a potential move to City’s rivals Manchester United, but his future move could be influenced by whether the Red Devils secure Champions League football this season.
The Italian is said to have a “gentleman’s agreement” to leave if Newcastle fail to qualify for Europe’s top club competition.
