Megan Fox talks about the difficult period during the filming

American actress Megan Fox has returned to one of the most discussed roles of her career, telling about the dark period she was going through during the filming of the film Jennifer’s Body. During a special screening of the film in Los Angeles on October 25, the 39-year-old confessed that at that time she felt “great anger and loss”, caused by the way she was treated in the film industry and by the pressure of fame.

“I was full of anger about the way I was treated. The paparazzi were very cruel back then,” she said, recalling times when they insulted her in public. “I had a lot of pain and sadness inside me that needed to be released somewhere and the role of Jennifer gave me that opportunity.”

Fox said she felt connected to her character, a teenager who transforms into a supernatural creature after sacrificing herself for the benefit of others. “I felt that way too, as someone who sacrificed herself for the success of others in the industry,” she added.

The actress described the experience as “healing” because the role allowed her to express the dark, forbidden sides of herself. “If I had seen it differently, I probably wouldn’t have given the same performance,” she said.

Meanwhile, writer Diablo Cody and co-star Amanda Seyfried have hinted that a sequel to the cult film “Jennifer’s Body” could be in development.
