Two Real Madrid players have openly expressed their frustration with French teammate Eduardo Camavinga, following the goal scored by Thomas Lemar for Girona during the match held on Friday at the “Santiago Bernabeu”, within the 31st round of La Liga.
Real Madrid drew at home against them, leaving them six points behind Barcelona, which would extend their lead at the top of the table to nine points if they beat Espanyol.
Fede Valverde had put Real Madrid ahead with a powerful strike in the 51st minute, but Lemar equalised for the Catalan side in the 62nd minute with a similar strike.
Lemar’s equaliser came after a powerful left-footed shot from inside the area, which went between Camavinga’s legs, leaving the French midfielder powerless to block his compatriot’s attempt.
Immediately after the ball ended up in the net, Ukrainian goalkeeper Andriy Lunin and Brazilian defender Eder Militao reacted angrily to Camavinga, openly expressing their dissatisfaction with the lack of coverage in that action.
The match ended 1-1 at the Bernabeu, leaving Real Madrid without a win in their last three matches in a row, after previous 2-1 losses to Mallorca and Bayern Munich.
