Cristiano Ronaldo has opened up in an emotional interview with Piers Morgan, speaking about some of the most intimate and defining moments of his life. From the heartbreaking loss of his son to his recent marriage proposal to Georgina Rodríguez, the football star revealed how tragedy reshaped his family and strengthened his relationship.
Ronaldo recalled the painful episode in 2022, when he and Georgina were expecting twins. Their daughter Bella was born healthy, but her twin brother tragically passed away.
“During that time, our bond became even stronger,” Ronaldo said. “It was incredibly difficult, but it taught me a lot. I began to see life from a different perspective. My daughter is the queen of the family, and she fills our home with joy.”
The footballer also spoke with deep affection about Georgina and her central role in their family life.
“Gio is unique. She takes care of me, the family, the home. She is hardworking, she understands me, and she supports me. That is what I look for in life. We are a blessed family, and I am proud of that.”
Ronaldo confirmed that he has already proposed to Georgina, describing the moment as private and spontaneous. The proposal included their young daughters, Eva and Alana, and a custom oval-cut diamond ring estimated to be worth six million euros. According to Ronaldo, the wedding is expected to take place after the 2026 World Cup.
