The World’s Tallest Hotel Opens in Dubai, Standing 377 Meters With 82 Floors

The world’s tallest hotel has officially opened its doors in Dubai, setting a new global record in luxury hospitality.

Ciel Dubai Marina, the newest addition to IHG’s Vignette Collection, rises 377 meters into the sky with 82 floors and a total of 1,004 rooms and suites, making it the tallest hotel tower ever built.

Dubai continues its rapid tourism expansion. The city welcomed 18.7 million international visitors last year—an increase of 9% from 2023—and is increasingly positioning itself as a premier destination for affluent travelers. Foreign investments in tourism reached $2 billion in 2024, with Ciel Dubai Marina becoming the latest symbol of this booming growth.

A Landmark of Extreme Luxury

Heinrich Morio, the hotel’s Managing Director, described the opening as a new benchmark for high-end travel:

“Ciel Dubai Marina is a visionary landmark that redefines innovation, luxury, and creativity at every level. This extraordinary hotel reflects Dubai’s global prestige as a destination for tourism and business.”

Designed by the world-renowned NORR Group, the tower features a sleek, needle-like structure focused entirely on height and panoramic views.

Every room has floor-to-ceiling windows, offering sweeping views of Palm Jumeirah, the Dubai skyline, and the Arabian Gulf.

Sky-High Experiences

One of the hotel’s standout features is the outdoor infinity pool on the 76th floor—one of the highest pools on the planet. At the very top, a sky observatory provides 360-degree views across Dubai’s iconic horizon.

The architects highlighted the complexity behind the project, noting that Ciel’s design integrates advanced sustainability elements, vertical gardens, and wind-tunnel engineering to manage the tower’s extreme height and environmental challenges.

World-Class Dining and Entertainment

Ciel Dubai Marina houses eight dining venues, offering everything from Mediterranean dishes to Asian fusion cuisine.
