Barcelona midfielder Pedri has included two of his teammates among the best footballers in the world at the moment, as excitement continues to build ahead of the upcoming World Cup.
In an interview with Esquire magazine published on Tuesday, the 23-year-old mentioned Lamine Yamal and Raphinha, placing them alongside global stars such as Kylian Mbappé, Mohamed Salah, Erling Haaland, and Julián Álvarez when discussing the players who are currently shining on the world stage.
Pedri said he is eager to face most of these players in international competitions — with the exception of Yamal, his Barcelona teammate. He highlighted that he is especially looking forward to potential matchups against Haaland and Salah, two players he has not yet faced in official competition.
Pedri’s enthusiastic praise underlines the excellent form that Yamal and Raphinha have shown this season, as well as the strength of Barcelona’s attacking unit, which has been dominating domestically and progressing confidently in European competitions.
Pedri remains one of the key players for both FC Barcelona and the Spanish national team.
