Stefon Diggs, star wide receiver for the New England Patriots and partner of rapper Cardi B, is facing serious allegations of violence involving his personal chef.
According to a police report obtained by the New York Post, Diggs, 32, has been accused of attempted strangulation and assault in connection with an incident that allegedly occurred on December 2 at his home in Dedham, a property reportedly valued at approximately $2.5 million.
The chef told police that Diggs struck her and choked her until she lost consciousness, following an argument over payment for her services. She claims the football player punched her in the face and then grabbed her by the neck.
In one of the messages allegedly sent by Diggs, he reportedly wrote:
“I’m not going to pay you. I’m not obligated. I don’t care. Are you crazy?”
The police report further states:
“The male then attempted to strangle her by placing his elbow around her neck. She stated that he was behind her with his arm wrapped around her neck.”
According to her statement, she struggled to breathe and feared she might pass out. As she tried to escape, she claims Diggs tightened his grip. She further alleged that he then threw her onto the bed, saying something along the lines of, “I knew it.” When she reminded him she still had not been paid, he allegedly replied, “That’s a lie,” before leaving the room.
Diggs Denies All Allegations
Diggs’ attorney, David Meier, has categorically denied the accusations on behalf of his client.
“These allegations are completely false, baseless, and were never investigated—because they never happened,” Meier said in a statement. “The timing and motivation behind these claims are entirely clear: they stem from a financial dispute between an employer and an employee that did not resolve in her favor. Stefon looks forward to the truth coming out in court.”
The case remains under scrutiny, with no formal conviction at this stage. Diggs’ representatives maintain his innocence as legal proceedings are expected to determine the facts surrounding the allegations.
