Mohamed Aboutrika has revealed a key reason behind Mohamed Salah’s decision to leave Liverpool, pointing to tensions with manager Arne Slot.
The former Egypt international, a close friend of Salah, claims that recent problems at the club have affected the striker’s thinking.
“One of the reasons behind Mohamed Salah’s departure from Liverpool is the presence of Arne Slot, because we have seen problems in the recent period.
“You, Slot, sent the player away. Salah only had a two-year contract with Liverpool, he wants to work calmly and enjoy the next phase of his career.”
“Salah doesn’t need any evaluation from Slot or anyone else,” he declared.
