Transfer expert Matteo Moretto reports that Inter have reached a verbal agreement with Sassuolo defender Tarik Muharemovic.
The Blues have made the Bosnian centre-back a top target for the summer, with the 23-year-old prioritising a move to San Siro over other offers.
An agreement with Sassuolo is still pending, but Inter are continuing negotiations. The transfer fee is considered the main obstacle, while the Serie A leaders are also considering the possibility of including players in the deal.
Another important element is that Juventus owns 50% of the player’s economic rights.
The “Old Lady” is also closely following the defender, however Inter seem to be ahead in the race for his transfer.
Muharemovic is being confirmed as one of the most prominent center-backs in the Italian football elite.
He also recently played a key role in Bosnia and Herzegovina’s qualification for the 2026 World Cup.
Inter are looking to renew their defensive line due to the expected departures of experienced players such as Francesco Acerbi and Stefan De Vrij.
