Manchester United Send Offer for RB Leipzig Defender

News

Manchester United are currently leading the race to secure the services of Castello Lukeba, the talented central defender who plays for Leipzig.

The 23-year-old Frenchman has become one of the most sought-after players on the continent, after appearing in 23 matches this season.

Although the player has a release clause of €80 million, negotiations suggest the transfer could be finalized for a lower figure.

Castello Lukeba has attempted to reduce media tension by emphasizing that his current priority is his team’s collective performance in Germany.

However, the summer transfer window scenario seems inevitable, due to the Saxon club’s need to make a significant sale to balance its finances.

If the transfer of the French defender does not materialize, the German club could open the door to the departure of other players such as Yan Diomande.

The English club aims to take advantage of the German team’s willingness to negotiate a more affordable price than the initial figure of 70 million euros.

For Manchester United, securing the approach of the left-footed left-back for around €57.5 million would constitute a major success in sporting planning.

The competition is strong, as Arsenal are also monitoring the defender’s every move, while Bayern Munich have withdrawn from the race.

The Bavarians believe that the economic demands are too high, thus leaving the way open for the “Red Devils” to gain a strategic advantage.
