Around 50 Serie A Players Named in Prostitution Scandal in Italy

Italian authorities have cracked down on a suspected prostitution ring and the organization of nightlife events, which according to investigations offered services to wealthy clients, including professional athletes and footballers.

Investigative sources confirmed to the EFE agency on Tuesday that the operation was carried out by the Guardia di Finanza.

According to what La Gazzetta dello Sport reports , around 50 Serie A players are mentioned as clients in this case, including several Inter and Milan footballers.

The investigative materials also mention the case of a pregnant woman, who according to reports remained in this condition after a relationship with one of the users of this network.

The investigation is being conducted by the Court of Milan at the request of the Prosecutor’s Office.

As part of the operation, four people have been placed under house arrest, suspected of “facilitating prostitution” through the organization of escort services, as well as laundering money obtained from this activity.

The Economic-Financial Police Unit within the Guardia di Finanza has explained that the organization, through the events it organized, created opportunities for wealthy clients “to also have access to sexual services.”

According to sources, in some cases, the use of nitrous oxide, known as “laughing gas”, a substance with medical use (anesthetic/analgesic) that is also misused as a recreational drug, has also been requested at these parties.

A Formula 1 driver is also mentioned.

According to phone intercepts published by La Gazzetta , a Formula 1 pilot is also mentioned in this network, who is suspected of having sought “paid lovers.”

In one of the quoted conversations, a person involved is said to have asked: “I have a friend who is a Formula 1 driver and he wants a paid girlfriend. Can we find him one?”, while the alleged response was: “I’ll send him the Brazilian.”

During the operation, checks were carried out on several properties and over 1.2 million euros were seized, which the authorities consider to be illegal proceeds from the activity under investigation.

According to the dossier, the network offered “all-inclusive packages” priced at several thousand euros, which included dinners at exclusive nightlife venues in Milan, accommodation in luxury hotels and the escorting of women.

Investigators claim that everything was operated under the guise of an events agency in the Milan metropolitan area, which for years organized parties in nightclubs and other venues, while also recruiting women, including professional escorts.

According to investigations, some of the young women were housed in properties linked to the agency itself and were then paid for services provided to clients.
