Mo Salah Considering Move to Shocking Destination

News

Mohamed Salah, who is expected to leave Liverpool this summer, will use this summer’s World Cup to decide where he will continue his career at club level.

Salah announced his departure from Anfield in March, ending a nine-year spell on Merseyside during which the Liverpool superstar won almost every trophy possible.

The Egyptian, whose performances helped Liverpool win the Premier League title last season, had negotiated a contract extension through 2025, which was due to run for another two years. However, he reached an agreement to leave by mutual consent with the club, becoming a free agent this summer.

In the race for his signature, Salah was recently linked with Turkish club Fenerbahce, who are reportedly offering him an annual salary of €20 million in exchange for his services.

But according to a report by TEAMtalk , Salah will consider a new destination during this summer’s World Cup — Major League Soccer (MLS) in the United States.

MLS is interested in bringing the Liverpool winger, who finished fourth in the 2025 Ballon d’Or, to its championship, with San Diego being mentioned as the most likely destination.

Salah, who will lead Egypt as captain at this summer’s tournament, is expected to use his time in the US to decide on his future at club level.

Sources close to the situation say that the Egyptian’s family will be with him throughout the World Cup and will use this period to see up close what their life would be like “across the Atlantic”.
