Robert Lewandowski has announced via his social media that he will leave Barcelona at the end of the season.

The Poland international’s current contract with the Catalans was due to expire on June 30 and, although the club were open to extending it for another year, the veteran striker has decided to move on and close this chapter.

Posting on Instagram, Lewandowski released an emotional video featuring some of his best memories with Barcelona.

“After four years of challenges and hard work, it’s time to move on. I leave with the feeling that my mission has been accomplished. 4 seasons, 3 championships.”

“I will never forget the love I received from the fans since my first days. Catalonia is my home on earth. Thank you to everyone I met during these four beautiful years.”

“A special thank you to President Laporta, who gave me the opportunity to live the most extraordinary chapter of my career.”

With this now confirmed departure, Lewandowski ends a four-year adventure at Barcelona, ​​where he transferred from Bayern Munich in the summer of 2022.

During this period, he won three La Liga titles, a Copa del Rey and three Spanish Super Cups.

He will say goodbye to the fans tomorrow (Sunday) against Real Betis, in the match that will be Barcelona’s last home match for this season.
