Real Madrid Reveal Plan B if They Fail to Sign Enzo Fernandez

News

Real Madrid have reportedly identified Alexis Mac Allister as an alternative option should they fail to secure key midfield targets this summer.

According to “El Debate”, the Liverpool midfielder is being closely monitored by the Spanish giants as part of their backup plan in the transfer market.

The Argentina World Cup winner is seen as a more financially viable option compared to some of the other big names, with Real Madrid considering him as a player who can bring balance and control to the midfield.

Mac Allister, who is under contract with Liverpool until 2028, has long been on Madrid’s radar and is valued for his tactical intelligence, as well as his ability to adapt to different roles during possession.

The move comes at a time when uncertainty continues over Real Madrid’s pursuit of other midfield players. Chelsea’s Enzo Fernandez remains a top target, but is seen as a difficult transfer due to his high valuation and contract situation.

Manchester City’s Rodri has also been linked in recent months, however, it is reported that concerns over his age and injury history have influenced his assessment within the Madrid club’s internal discussions.

Real Madrid’s recruitment strategy focuses on finding a creative, yet controlling midfielder to complement the current structure of the team, with Jude Bellingham, Arda Guleri and Brahim Díaz already covering the more advanced creative roles.

In these circumstances, Mac Allister is being considered as a real alternative if negotiations on the main objectives do not move forward.
