Real Madrid have reportedly completed their first major transfer move of the summer by activating a defender’s release clause and securing a quick deal.
The player is Denzel Dumfries, with Madrid said to have agreed to pay his €20 million release clause to bring him in from Inter Milan.
The deal is described as fully agreed, with only formal steps remaining before the transfer is officially announced.
Dumfries is expected to strengthen the right side of defense, an area Madrid have been looking to reinforce ahead of the new season.
The move is seen as one of the first clear signals of Madrid’s transfer activity this summer.
