New Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola has reportedly added a Bournemouth star to his initial list of three transfer targets at Anfield.
Iraola was officially unveiled as the Reds’ new manager on Thursday evening, replacing Arne Slot. The length of the Spaniard’s contract was not made public, but he is said to have signed a two-year deal.
And Iraola is already targeting a player from his former club to replace one of the stars in the squad.
According to iPaper, Iraola wants to bring Bournemouth’s Brazilian winger Rayan to Anfield. The 19-year-old joined Bournemouth in January from Brazilian side Vasco da Gama but has quickly adapted to English football and has scored five goals in 15 Premier League appearances.
This form has also secured him an invitation to the Brazil squad for the World Cup, under the guidance of coach Carlo Ancelotti.
It is claimed that Iraola, who is said to be a “huge admirer” of the winger, may have to wait until January to complete a deal for Ryan, as Bournemouth have no desire to sell him at this stage.
Another target for Liverpool is striker Eli Junior Kroupi, but the Reds would face stiff competition from their Premier League rivals.
Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Arsenal and Manchester City have called to ask about the 19-year-old’s status, after he scored 13 goals for them last season.

Meanwhile, Liverpool are also interested in Leipzig star Yan Diomande, also 19, who scored 12 goals in his debut season in the Bundesliga.
Liverpool are said to have contacted Leipzig about a possible transfer, but Diomande is also being linked with PSG, the club he has supported since childhood.
