The legendary Jose Mourinho was once again in the spotlight ahead of today’s big derby between his Benfica and Sporting.
Specifically, Mourinho was asked by a journalist on Portuguese national television if he would be on the Benfica bench next season.
Mourinho answered him with his own question:
“Can you guarantee that you will stay at RTP next season?”
The journalist had something to answer:
“I can, because no one loves me.”
This was followed by loud laughter from Mourinho, who was delighted by this clever response.
We remind you that there are increasing reports of Mourinho’s possible departure from Benfica, especially considering that Real Madrid will almost certainly be looking for a new coach at the end of the season.
