Jose Mourinho is Building a Scary Formation at Real Madrid

Real Madrid look set to embark on a spectacular new chapter under Jose Mourinho.

After a season of major changes, the Madrid club are working hard to build a squad that combines the world’s biggest stars with the most promising talents of the new generation.

According to the latest projections, “Los Blancos” could appear in the 2026/27 season with a lineup that on paper seems almost unstoppable, as the team is expected to add five major reinforcements to the starting lineup.

In goal continues to be Thibaut Courtois, the Belgian goalkeeper who remains one of the team’s strongest points even in the final years of his career.

The defence is set to see the biggest overhaul. Denzel Dumfries has already been brought in to cover the right flank, while Ibrahima Konate has been brought in to bring strength, speed and physical dominance to the centre of defence.

If Real Madrid manage to convince Manchester City to sign Guardiola, Mourinho would be entrusted with a defensive unit that combines aggression, technique and the ability to build play from the back. Alongside them, sensation Dean Huijsen is seen as one of the pillars of the long-term project.

In midfield, Federico Valverde remains the engine of the team. His boundless energy, intensity under pressure and ability to cover every corner of the pitch make the Uruguayan one of the most important players in Mourinho’s system. In front of him, Jude Bellingham will continue to be the technical and creative leader, the player around whom most of the attacking action is built.

But Madrid’s ambitions don’t stop there. Enzo Fernandez remains one of the main targets of the summer and is seen as the ideal profile to complete the midfield. The Argentine would bring control, composure and quality in organizing the game, creating a formidable trio with Valverde and Bellingham.

On the right wing of midfield, Bernardo Silva is very close to completing the move. The Portuguese, one of the most tactically intelligent players in European football, would give Mourinho maximum flexibility, possession and creativity in crucial areas.

Meanwhile, the attack will continue to be the Kings’ strongest weapon. Vinicius Junior and Kylian Mbappe form perhaps the fastest and most explosive duo in world football. With Bellingham behind them and the support of Bernardo, this unit has the potential to destroy any defense in Europe.

What makes this project even more daunting is the depth of the squad. Antonio Rudiger, Eder Militao, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Arda Guler and Aurelien Tchouameni are expected to be the ‘stars under the sleeve’ from the reserve bench. In most European clubs these footballers would be undisputed starters, while at Real Madrid they could serve as luxury reserves.
