Sweden legend Zlatan Ibrahimovic has spoken about Lamine Yamal ahead of Spain’s opening World Cup match against Cape Verde.
For Ibrahimovic, Yamal is a player he expects to light up the World Cup stage.
“Lamine Yamal is a special player. He is a player for whom you pay those very expensive tickets, a player for whom you come to the stadium and thanks to whom you can just enjoy the experience,” Ibrahimovic initially told Fox Sports .

“On TV he looks special and he looks beautiful. But up close, he’s even more special.”
“At 18 years old, it’s unbelievable. Every time he touches the ball, you can see it’s different. His ball control, his dribbling, his ability to score goals… so all my hopes for a great game are on him,” the former Swedish star concluded.
Ibrahimovic’s Sweden is lucky not to be in the same group as Lamine Yamali’s Spain.
