Midfielder Bernardo Silva has officially joined Spanish giants Real Madrid.
The Madrid team has announced that the Portuguese has signed a contract for the next two years.
“Real Madrid and Bernardo Silva have reached an agreement, whereby he will be a Real Madrid player for the next two seasons, until June 30, 2028,” the statement said.
Silva announced his departure from Manchester City, where he won every trophy possible, months ago, and wasted no time in completing his move to the Madrid giants.
The Portuguese was also in negotiations with Barcelona and Atletico Madrid, with the latter reportedly having an agreement in principle, but when Real joined the race, the whole situation changed.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid is expected to make the signing of Ibrahima Konate and Denzel Dumfries official, as they continue to be quite active in the summer transfer window.
