The commentator of the Turkish television TRT, Alper Bakircigli, felt this best on his own skin, who earned a dismissal and this was announced to him at halftime of the Canada-Morocco match.

The reason for the dismissal is that the commentator shared a fact about Hakan Sukur, the former goal scorer of the Turkish national team, who was first declared a national hero for his successes in the national team, and eventually declared a criminal.

The commentator of the said match, reminded the audience in Turkey that Hakan Sukur is the man who has the fastest goal in the World Cups, precisely in 11 seconds of the WC match in 2002, when Turkey won the third place.

Sukur was a legend of the Turkish national team in the nineties and early 2000s, but that time is over. After his international career, Sukur entered politics and on one occasion had to leave Turkey because he was accused of a failed coup against Recep Tayyip Erdogan in 2016.

In 2020, Shukur himself confirmed that he now drives a taxi in America to survive and that he lost everything he had in his life.
