The British actor Jonathan Bailey, 37, has been named People magazine’s “Sexiest Man Alive” for 2025.
The announcement was made last night on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
Bailey rose to international fame through his role as Lord Anthony Bridgerton in Netflix’s hit drama Bridgerton, which captivated audiences around the world.
Following his breakout success, the actor transitioned to Hollywood, landing major roles in blockbuster films such as Jurassic World Rebirth, Wicked, and the upcoming sequel Wicked: For Good.
Bailey succeeds John Krasinski, who held the title last year.
Originally from Oxfordshire, England, Bailey began his acting career as a child and later became a respected stage performer, appearing in productions with the Royal Shakespeare Company and in London’s West End.
The title of People’s Sexiest Man Alive has previously been held by numerous famous actors and musicians, including Chris Evans, John Legend, Michael B. Jordan, Paul Rudd, Ryan Reynolds, Chris Hemsworth, Bradley Cooper, Dwayne Johnson, Idris Elba, Adam Levine, Richard Gere, Channing Tatum, and David Beckham.
