Several English and French media are reporting that Moroccan midfielder Sofiane Amrabat’s agents and representatives have met with Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp ahead of the World Cup, who wants to see the 26-year-old Fiorentina player at Anfield in January.
Amrabat is one of 17 Moroccan players born outside their country, specifically in the Netherlands, the same as Hakim Ziyech. At the beginning of 2020, Fiorentina brought him from Verona for just under 20 million euros. They must be rubbing their hands in Florence now as Amrabat is one of the best defensive midfielders in the World Cup.
He has a lot of credit for Morocco’s defensive impenetrability, conceding the only goal in the three group stage games and the Round of 16 win against the Canadians. Amrabat is slowly becoming a living legend among Morocco fans.
