Angelina Jolie Visits Ukraine: “The Fear of Being Forgotten by the World Is Present Every Day”

Actress and humanitarian Angelina Jolie has made another visit to Ukraine, traveling to the war-affected cities of Mykolaiv and Kherson this week to meet civilians living near the front line. She shared photos and videos of the emotional trip on her Instagram, highlighting the psychological toll of life under constant threat.

“Many people spoke to me about the psychological burden of living under constant danger and the fear of being forgotten by the world,” Jolie wrote in her post, reflecting on the conversations she had with Ukrainian families and aid workers.

During her stay, Jolie visited the War Heritage Foundation, where she met with medical teams, families, and volunteers supporting local communities devastated by the conflict. She listened to firsthand accounts from survivors enduring daily bombings and displacement.
At one point, Jolie’s team briefly paused their visit as a drone flew overhead, a tense moment the actress later documented online to show the everyday reality faced by Ukrainians.
This marks Jolie’s second visit to Ukraine since the start of the war — her first was in Lviv in April 2022, where she met with refugees and humanitarian workers.
Known for her long-term advocacy with the UN and international relief organizations, Jolie emphasized that the world must not lose focus on Ukraine’s suffering:

“Every day here, people live with courage — but also with the constant fear that the world will stop paying attention.”

Her post quickly went viral, drawing widespread praise for her commitment to humanitarian causes and her willingness to bear witness to the struggles of those living through war.
