How did it come about that Manchester United and Liverpool could not take to the field tonight at 10pm (Diema Sport 2), even though their appearance at Old Trafford will welcome a projected global audience of over 330 million viewers?
And even more bizarrely, how could there be fears of this happening for the second time in the last 18 months?
Yes, the match can be postponed. Or cancelled, who knows. In two words – there is a danger that it will not be played. The reason is planned United fan protests by some of the biggest organized supporters groups.
They have been protesting against the Glazer family’s management of their club for years, but recently the protests have been especially sharp.
