Chelsea Drop the Bomb: €160m Offer Could Rip Vinícius from Real Madrid

News

Real Madrid and Vinícius Júnior remain locked in a stalemate over the Brazilian’s future, with his on-field situation only adding to the uncertainty ahead of what appears to be a decisive summer.

However, a potential escape route could emerge in the Premier League.

According to a surprising report from The Guardian, Chelsea are considering a blockbuster move to sign Vinícius in the upcoming summer transfer window.

The London club are reportedly prepared to spend €160 million on the Brazilian winger, while his contract situation at the Santiago Bernabéu remains unclear. The figure has raised eyebrows, especially given that Vinícius is believed to be entering the final year of his deal—making such a high opening offer highly unusual.

Previous reports from Madrid suggested that Real would demand a fee in excess of €100 million, but numbers of this magnitude had not been mentioned before.

Vinícius has consistently stated that his priority is to remain at Real Madrid, and club president Florentino Pérez is also said to be keen on keeping him. The main obstacle in negotiations is the wage demands of the player’s agent, who is reportedly seeking a salary on par with that of teammate Kylian Mbappé.

Meanwhile, Vinícius has struggled to rediscover the form that once made him a global superstar. Last season was his most disappointing campaign since becoming a regular starter, and he is currently enduring a 14-match goal drought, further complicating an already delicate situation.
