Chelsea have reportedly emerged as the frontrunners to secure the services of Stuttgart midfielder Angelo Stiller during the summer transfer window.
The team led by Liam Rosenior is expected to be very active in the transfer market after the end of the 2025-26 season, with the West London giants having identified several problems to solve before the start of the new edition.
The Blues are looking to sign a new centre-back this summer, with interest in the likes of Murillo, Jarrad Branthwaite and Jan Paul van Hecke. They are also looking for a new striker, with Aston Villa star Morgan Rogers among their top targets.
In addition, Chelsea also wants to strengthen the midfield, despite Enzo Fernandez’s agent stating that his client’s disputes with the club have been resolved.
Multiple reports confirm that Chelsea have already reached personal terms on a six-year contract with Strasbourg midfielder Valentin Barco ahead of this summer, however the club continue to seek another option for the winger.
Crystal Palace and Nottingham Forest are also involved in the talks with Adam Wharton and Elliot Anderson, who have been identified as potential reinforcements by Chelsea. However, according to Fichajes , the Londoners have taken the lead in signing Stiller.
Chelsea have reportedly sent scouts to regularly follow the 25-year-old in the Bundesliga this season and are ready to offer him an annual salary of €9m to convince him to move to Stamford Bridge.
Stiller currently has a €40m release clause in his contract with Stuttgart, but the German club have the option to remove this clause if they pay the player €2m, and are then expected to demand at least €50m to allow him to leave this summer.
